dc.description.abstract | One of the abuses that many early adults who are dating experience is cyber dating abuse, which then has a negative impact on the victim. The way that victims of cyber dating abuse can accept the reality of the bad events they have experienced and have a positive influence on themselves is by forgiveness. This study aims to determine the forgiveness process in early adult victims of cyber dating abuse. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were three people, who were 24-26 years old, had been victims of cyber dating abuse, and lived in Medan city. Research data were obtained through in-depth interviews using the grand theory of forgiveness-McCullough as an interview guide. The results of the research based on the forgiveness process show that there are 2 participants who have been able to do forgiveness. However, there is 1 participant who is still not able to fully forgive his ex- boyfriend. However, the subject who failed to carry out the forgiveness process still showed an effort to forgive his ex- boyfriend. The forgiveness process carried out by the subject has a positive emotional effect on the individual. | en_US |
