dc.description.abstractBroiler chicken is a type of chicken with high productivity in producing meat. Chicken maintenance often uses antibiotics to support chicken growth. However, excessive antibiotic administration can cause antibiotic residues. So that currently many are replacing antibiotics by using phytobiotics. Phytobiotics are a type of natural feed additive derived from plants with active ingredients that can be used as antibacterials and have the function of curing or preventing disease and increasing growth. Garlic and temulawak are known as plants that contain phytobiotics. The effect of providing garlic and temulawak extracts as phytobiotics in broiler drinking water will be observed in broiler performance including feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion, and income over feed cost. Maintenance lasted for 35 days. The treatments used in the study were garlic decoction extract and temulawak decoction extract with treatments P0 (control), P1 (garlic decoction), P2 (temulawak decoction), and P3 (mixture of garlic and temulawak decoction) given in broiler drinking water. Observations of the results of performance were observed with the method of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and further tested using the 5% Duncan test. Based on the results showed that P1 (garlic decoction) produced the best average feed consumption (87.10 ± 0.87), body weight gain (57.25 ± 2.55), feed conversion (1.49 ± 0.05), and incombe over feed cost (7416 ± 1227.80).en_US
