dc.description.abstractUniversity of North Sumatra who use the ChatGPT application. Educational technology such as ChatGPT is increasingly popular among students due to its ability to assist the learning process. However, there are concerns that the use of ChatGPT may reduce students' motivation to learn due to the quick and easy availability of information, which may decrease the effort to conduct independent research and understanding. This study used qualitative methods with 3 Psychology students from the University of North Sumatra, which showed that participants used ChatGPT to complete academic assignments. The results of this study can provide insight of using technology such as ChatGPT on students' learning motivation that the use of technology such as ChatGPT can increase students' self-efficacy and help them manage the learning process more effectively.en_US
