The Influence of Work Motivation on Affective Commitment in Employees of the General Election Commission Office (KPU) Province X
Abstract
This study aims to determine how much influence work motivation has on affective commitment of employees of the General Election Commission of Province X office. The subjects in this study were all employees of the General Election Commission office of Province X, totaling 72 people. The method used in this research is quantitative method of causality model. The data collection method uses a Likert scale, namely the affective commitment scale which is compiled based on the aspects proposed by George and Jones (2012) and the work motivation scale which is compiled based on the aspects proposed by Kreitner and Kinicki (2014). The data were analyzed statistically using simple regression analysis. The results of statistical analysis show that there is a positive and significant effect of work motivation on the affective commitment of employees of the General Election Commission office of Province X. The results of this study indicate that the higher the level of work motivation in employees, the higher the affective commitment in employees of the General Election Commission office of Province X.
