dc.description.abstractThis research is a quantitative study that aims to describe the Intellect personality type in generation z users of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI). The participants in this study were 345 students of the University of North Sumatra (USU) who were between 14-29 years old and were GAI users. The measuring instrument used is the International Personality Item Pool Big-Five Factor Marker-25 (IPIP BFM-25) with incidental sampling technique. The results showed that 37 participants had low Intellect personality, while 35 participants had high Intellect personality. The results of this study also found no significant differences in Intellect personality type based on gender and age groups that have been classified, where the average score cannot be classified with existing categories. Based on all faculties at USU, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Nursing have the highest average Intellect score, which is 22.00. In addition, the results show that generation z students with high Intellect scores are more likely to use GAI to search for information and because of its convenience which is considered practical.en_US
