dc.description.abstractCareer planning and career development are important aspects in human resource management that significantly affect employee performance. In the context of a company, both play a role in shaping the direction and development of individuals, and can have implications for achieving overall goals. At PT Adira Finance OCBC Medan Branch, as one of the leading financial institutions in Indonesia, a deep understanding of the impact of career planning and development on employee performance is crucial. This study aims to determine the effect of career planning and career development on employee performance at PT Adira Finance OCBC Medan Branch. The influence of career planning and career development on employee performance will be analyzed partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative method with 75 respondents as the research sample, with a sampling technique of purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire using a Likert scale that was distributed to respondents directly at PT Adira Finance OCBC Medan Branch, while secondary data was obtained from literature studies. The data analysis method uses validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear analysis, and hypothesis tests with the help of SPSS. The results of the study indicate that career planning variables have a significant effect on employee performance and career development variables have a significant effect on employee performance. The determination test obtained the result that the correlation coefficient (R2) value was 0.659, which means that each variable, namely career planning (X1), and career development (X2) are related to employee performance (Y) by 68.9%. This means that career planning and career development have contributed to employee performance.en_US
