dc.description.abstractThis study is a descriptive study that aims to determine the description of student engagement in MBKM students at the University of North Sumatra 2023/2024. The subjects in this study were 409 MBKM USU students. Sampling was carried out using the proportional sampling method. The data obtained in this study were processed using descriptive analysis. The measuring instrument was a questionnaire, a student engagement scale made based on the theory put forward by Fredricks (2004). There are three aspects that can measure student engagement, namely behavioral engagement, cognitive engagement, and emotional engagement. The results showed that students who participated in the MBKM program had student engagement tending to be in the moderate category 64.3%, students had high student engagement 19.1% and students had low student engagement 16.6%. Then, based on the three aspects (behavioral, engagement, emotional engagement, cognitive engagement) tended to be in the moderate category leading to high.
