The Influence of Business Risk, Company Size and Sales Growth on Capital Structure in Food and Beverage Sub-Sect Manufacturing Companies Listed on The Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) Period 2021-2022
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the influence of business risk, company size and sales growth on the capital structure of food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the 2021-2022 period. The research method used is quantitative with a multiple linear regression analysis approach. The data used is secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of companies listed on the IDX. The research results show that business risk has a significant effect on the company's capital structure. Changes that occur in business risks can result in a significant increase in capital structure. Apart from that, company size also has a significant influence on capital structure. Companies with a larger size tend to have a higher capital structure compared to smaller companies. Sales growth has also been proven to have a significant effect on the company's capital structure. Companies with higher sales growth tend to have larger capital structures. The conclusion of this research is that business risk, company size, and sales growth are factors that have a significant influence on the capital structure of food and beverage sector companies on the IDX in the 2021-2022 period. These results are expected to provide insight for company management and investors in making decisions regarding capital structure.
