Perceptions of Violence in Dating (Descriptive Study Students Who Have Experienced Violence in Dating)
Abstract
Dating violence is a deliberate act carried out in a dating relationship whose aim is to maintain and gain power over one's partner. This research aims to determine the perception of violent behavior in dating among students who have experienced violence in dating. Perception of violence in dating is an individual's perspective in understanding information regarding verbal, sexual and physical attacks that a person feels with another person, which includes physical and psychological pain that is obtained through the process of sensing, appreciating and feeling. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative involving 149 participants selected through accidental sampling. Data collection for this research was carried out by distributing online questionnaires in the form of a Google form. Overall, the results of the Guttman depth reliability test were 0.957 and all items had a corrected item total correlation value above 0.30. The results of the analysis carried out show that the perception of dating violence among students who have experienced dating violence is in the medium category, namely 105 people with a percentage of 71%.
