Nurses who decide to do turnover is a serious problem for hospitals. Hospitals need to know what factors influence nurses so that they intend to leave the hospital to be able to prevent this from happening. This study aims to determine the effect of workload and burnout on turnover intention with work stress as an intervening variable for inpatient nurses at Mitra Sejati Hospital Medan. The population in this study were 110 nurses and with the Slovin formula obtained 86 nurses as the research sample. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and quantitative methods with SEM Smart PLS. This study shows that workload and work saturation have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. Workload and burn out have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention through work stress with total indirect teffect 52,9% and 33,6%.
