Southeast Aceh Regency has a highly attractive potential for natural
tourism. Various natural attractions such as rivers, waterfalls, hills, and even
national parks are abundant in this area.
In Mbarung Datuk Saudane Village, Babussalam Subdistrict, there is
the Alas River, which is one of the most famous natural attractions, even
internationally. This longest river in Aceh Province is highly popular for
whitewater rafting, flowing through the Gunung Leuser area with breathtaking
natural scenery. Considering the rich natural potential and the high
enthusiasm of both local and international tourists, there is a significant lack
of hotels and lodging facilities to accommodate the number of visitors.
In designing Mbarung Resort, it is necessary to provide various
recreational activities such as relaxation, swimming, sports, enjoying
gardens, admiring views, and educational tourism. The resort will be
equipped with facilities to support these activities, including swimming pools,
jogging tracks, mini gardens, botanical gardens, and small parks, making it
an attractive destination for tourists to visit and stay longer.
The location of Mbarung Resort, situated on a hill, is far from electricity
and water networks. Green architecture is the most suitable approach to
address the planning issues of Mbarung Resort, utilizing energy-efficient
concepts where solar energy will be directly used through solar panels.
