The Influence of Academic Achievement, Locus of Control, and Self Efficacy on Career Maturity in Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Sumatera Utara
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of Academic Achievement, Centre of Control, and Self-Efficacy on Career Maturity in students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara. This research is associative quantitative research and the type of data used is primary data. The data used is obtained from the results of collecting questionnaires to 94 samples of respondents in the field who have been processed. The analysis method used is descriptive statistical analysis and multiple linear regression. The population of this study were students of the 2019-2021 stambuk faculty of economics and business, totalling 1447 people. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously, Academic Achievement, Centre of Control, and Self-Efficacy, simultaneously, have a positive and significant effect on Career Maturity in students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Partially, the Academic Achievement variable has a positive and significant effect on Career Maturity, the Control Centre variable has a positive and significant effect on Career Maturity, and the Self-Efficacy variable has a positive and significant effect on Career Maturity in students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Sumatera Utara. The Locus of Control variable is the first most dominant variable that affects the level of student Career Maturity. Then, followed by the Self Efficacy variable as the second most dominant variable and finally the Academic Achievement variable which affects Career Maturity in students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Sumatera Utara.
