Stereotip Shèng Nǚ (剩女) pada Tokoh Utama Perempuan dalam Film Shèng Zhě Wéi Wáng 《剩者为王》: Sebuah Pendekatan Feminisme 《剩者为王》电影中的女主角剩女刻板印象: 女权主义分析 《Shèng zhě wéi wáng》 diànyǐng zhōng de nǚ zhǔjué shèngnǚ kèbǎn yìnxiàng: Nǚquán zhǔyì fēnxī

Abstract

The title of this research is Shèng Nǚ (剩女) Stereotypes of the Main Female Characters in the Shèng Zhě Wéi Wáng《剩者为王》 Film: An Approach to Feminism. This research is motivated by the demands of parents on their daughters to get married at the age of 30's furthermore the researcher formulates the problem of how the Shèng Nǚ stereotype is faced by the female main character and how the adjustments made by the female main character to the normative gender demands in the film Shèng Zhě Wéi Wáng. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the form of Shèng Nǚ stereotypes faced by the female main character and the adjustments made by the female main character. The researcher uses the theory of existential feminism from Beauvoir (1956) as well as descriptive qualitative research methods and data collection methods using triangulation and analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman (1984). The data collection method was from documentation of dialogue in Shèng Zhě Wéi Wáng film. In this study, it is concluded that there is a stereotypical form of as Shèng Nǚ or the remaining unmarried woman at the age of 30's years who continues to be demanded by her parents because Shèng rú xī is too individual and the way she adapted to the demands of normative gender and the Shèng Nǚ label on her which she does love and focus on yourself.
