    Abstract
    The Unit of Food and Horticultural Crops Protection (UPT PTPH) of North Sumatera is a government agency responsible for assisting the Head of Service in carrying out the administration and/or technical tasks of plant protection by observing and controlling Plant Pest Organisms as well as observing and handling Climate Change Impacts (DPI) in all districts/cities. UPT PTPH show a decline in employee performance assessment results. The decline is due to the lack of employee readiness for change, the lack of OCB (Organizational Cutzenship Behavior) and work stress. This research aims to find out employee readiness for change and OCB on employee performance through work stress in employees of UPT PTPH in North Sumatera. The research population is all permanent employees at UPT PTPH and the sample consist of 50 respondents selected using descriptive data analysis methods and SEM-PLS. The research results indicate that employees readiness for change has a positive and significant effect on work stress, employees readiness for change has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, OCB has a negative and insignificant effect on work stress, OCB has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance, work stress has a negative effect and significantly on employee performance, employees readiness for change has a negative and insignificant effect on performance through work stress and OCB has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance through work stress in the employee of UPT PTPH North Sumatera
