    Abstract
    This study discusses the recitation of Ikhlasiyah Nagori Negeri Bayu Muslimin, Simalungun Regency from 1962-2007. This study aims to explain the background of Ikhlasiyah recitation in Nagori Negeri Bayu Muslimin, the development, as well as the contribution to of Ikhlasiyah recitation to Nagori Negeri Bayu Muslimin in from 1962 to 2007. The research method used is the historical research method, with steps such as heuristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies, by analyzing sources, such as books, previous research, and archives of Ikhlasiyah recitation. This study explains the development of Ikhlasiyah recitation in Nagori Negeri Bayu Muslimin, Simalungun Regency in 1962-2007. The Ikhlasiyah recitation was founded by Muhammad Ramli Pulungan who was originally in Kampung Melayu Pematangsiantar and then moved because he received an order. The transfer of Ikhlasiyah recitation from Kampung Melayu to Nagori Negeri Bayu Muslimin in 1962 has influenced and contributed to the development of the Nagori Negeri Bayu Muslimin, both in terms of economy, population, and socio-religion. so that since 1962 the Ikhlasiyah recitation center has been in Nagori Negeri Bayu Muslimin, even though there are many congregations from various regions such as Medan, Binjai, Indrapura, Kisaran, and others.
