Factors Related to Work Fatigue in PT. Alam Jaya Wirasentosa Warehouse Workers in Binjai in 2024
Abstract
Fatigue is a subjective feeling of physical and psychological nature, which is related to a decrease in physical performance, productivity motivation and worker achievement. Work processes that involve high physical workloads can have an impact with high levels of fatigue in warehouse workers at PT Alam Jaya Wirasentosa. Factors that relate work fatigue are work factors consisting of working time, workload, work shifts, work attitudes, individual factors consisting of age, tenure, gender, nutritional status, and environmental factors consisting of noise and lighting. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related between age, tenure, nutritional status, and workload with fatigue in warehouse workers of PT Alam Jaya Wirasentosa. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 30 warehouse workers. The sample in this study was the entire population of 30 workers. Work fatigue was measured using the IFRC (Industrial Fatigue Research Committee) questionnaire, an oxymeter to measure worker workload (%CVL). Based on the results of the chi- square statistical test, it was found that the factors related with work fatigue were worker workload (p value = 0.025), nutritional status (p value
= 0.040). Factors that are not related with fatigue are age (p value = 0.473) and length of service (p value = 0.473). The company is advised to implement a program to maintain a diet by conducting socialization of knowledge of a balanced nutritionaldiet, and also encouraging regular exercise for workers.
