Health development is an effort of all stakeholders, including the government. Today, participation of all people, either formally or informally, is an important requirement in order to improve public health condition. An RSUD (Regional General Hospital) is a health care facility which plays an important role in health development. Since the main function of a hospital is to carry out health care. nursing managemem becomes a very important part of hospital management Two factors which influence nurses performance are competency and workload Besides that, work satisfaction is also an important aspect which influences nurses performance. The objective of the research is to analyze the influence of competency and workload on nurses performance through work satisfaction. The research is conducted at RSUD Dr. Djasamen Saragih. The samples are 74 inpatient nurses with the status of government employees as the respondents. The data are analyzed descriptively by using path analysis with SmartPLS application. The result of the research shows that, directly, competency has positive and significam influence on work satisfaction, competency has positive and significant influence on nurses performance workload has negative and significant influence on work satisfaction, workload has negative and significant influence on mirses performance, and work satisfaction has positive and significant influence on nurses performance, Indirectly, competency has positive and significant influence on murses performance through work satisfaction, and workload has negative and significant influence on nurses performance through work satisfaction.
