Abstract
Caesarean section is a surgical delivery procedure in which the fetus is born through an incision in the mother's abdominal wall and uterus. Caesarean section delivery usually experiences more pain than normal delivery. Sectio caesarea is an artificial birth, by making an incision 10 15 cm long in the abdominal wall and uterine wall. The aim of this senior practicum is to provide pain nursing care to mothers after caesarean section. Nursing care was carried out from 20 May to 25 May 2024 for two patients after caesarean section by providing education on pharmacological and non pharmacological pain management. The deep breathing relaxation technique (Benson technique) is a non pharmacological technique used to reduce pain by relaxing muscle tension that supports pain. The results obtained after applying the Benson relaxation technique, both patients were cooperative and were taught the Benson relaxation technique. Patients are able to understand the education provided about pain management after caesarean section.
