Redesign of The Panji Bako Sidikalang Stadium with an Aproach to Contemporary Architectural Theme
Abstract
In general, a stadium is the most crucial facility in the sport of soccer, serving not only as a venue for matches but also as an entertainment
hub for football club enthusiasts . The facilities and suitability of a stadium are critical factors in attracting audience attention, ensuring player
and spectator comfort, and providing an unforgettable experience. With comprehensive facilities and effective management, a stadium has
the potential to create a unique allure that transforms each visit into a special occasion. However, Stadion Panji Bako in Sidikalang City faces
a serious issue, namely inadequate facilities and a low level of suitability. The mismatch between modern facility requirements and the
stadium's existing condition has led to a decline in audience and visitor interest. To address this problem, a comprehensive redesign for
Stadion Panji Bako Sidikalang is imperative.
This redesign is expected to offer innovative and relevant solutions in accordance with contemporary demands, infusing a fresh and
invigorating atmosphere into the long-standing stadium. The design process should consider various aspects, including enhancing facilities
such as comfortable seating, commercial areas, and other supporting amenities. Moreover, sustainability aspects should ideally be integrated
into the design, ensuring the stadium operates efficiently in terms of energy and environmental impact. Consequently, the redesign of Stadion
Panji Bako Sidikalang aims not only to tackle existing issues but also to open up new opportunities for the development of soccer and
entertainment in the region. By optimizing the stadium's function as a center for matches and entertainment, it is hoped that the stadium will
become a proud icon, meeting the expectations of players, enthusiasts, and the general public.
