dc.description.abstract | The rapid advancement of technology has significantly impacted education by enabling information access regardless of time and place. This development has introduced e-learning, which enhances the traditional face-to-face education system by providing flexible and accessible learning opportunities. E-learning platforms, such as those used during the COVID-19 pandemic, facilitate uninterrupted teaching and learning through digital means. This study, titled "The Impact of Learning Management Systems on Motivation and Learning Outcomes in Studying English Literature: Students' Perspective of Using E-Learning Platforms at the University of North Sumatra," employs a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the influence of LMS on students' motivation and learning outcomes. The findings reveal that LMS usability positively impacts the organization and access to study materials, thereby enhancing the learning experience. Interactive features within the LMS increase student engagement and motivation, while comprehensive resources improve English proficiency. Challenges include the need for better technical support and fair online assessments. The study recommends enhancing the user interface, increasing interactivity, ensuring content relevance, providing personalized learning paths, and improving technical support to optimize LMS effectiveness. Future research should explore specific LMS features contributing to academic success and the long-term impact of LMS usage across various disciplines. | en_US |
