    Abstract
Photography services are professional services in the field of photography that provide various services related to taking pictures and videos. Services that are used to meet the needs of human life are increasingly sophisticated, resulting in a gap in the truth of information and consumer capture power. As stipulated in article 4 of the Consumer Protection Act No. 8 of 1999, consumers or service users have the right to, among others, comfort, security, and safety in using services and obtaining these services in accordance with the exchange rate and conditions and guarantees promised. However, there are still some consumers who are disadvantaged in the use of photography services. This study aims to describe and analyze the regulation of legal protection of consumers for the use of photography services according to positive law in Indonesia, the regulation of legal protection of consumers who suffer losses due to negligence and errors of Kayana Photography, and efforts to resolve problems by Kayana Photography as a business actor against consumers who are harmed. This research uses normative juridical legal research methods supported by field research. Therefore, the data used includes primary, secondary, and tertiary data. Data were collected using field research and library research techniques. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using qualitative analysis methods. The results obtained from the research that the regulation of legal protection for consumers is regulated under Law Number 8 Year 1999 on Consumer Protection (UUPK) and the Civil Code. The form of legal protection for consumers who use photography services at Kayana Photography uses repressive legal protection because there has been a dispute and is looking for ways to resolve the dispute, and the responsibility given by Kayana Photography as a business actor to consumer rights can be in the form of compensation and offering other photo services such as family photos. But there are restrictions on the form of responsibility that harms consumers. Business actors will not compensate for losses if the fault of the consumer himself. Efforts to resolve problems by Kayana Photography can be carried out through non-litigation or peace and litigation through the court or out of court by the Consumer Dispute Resolution Agency (BPSK).
