Pengujian Anti-Aging dan Iritasi Akut Dermal pada Serum yang Mengandung Kombinasi Nanogold, Natrium Hialuronat, Kolagen dan Minyak Zaitun

Abstract

Background: Premature aging is the process of skin aging ahead of its time. Nanogold, sodium hyaluronate, collagen and olive oil are ingredients that can prevent aging of facial skin, namely by moisturizing, disguising blemishes, shrinking pores, reducing wrinkles and not causing irritation to the skin. The dermal acute irritation test is a toxicity test performed on albino rabbits to detect toxic effects that appear after exposure to the test preparation. Objective: To analyze the effect of skin irritation preclinically and test the anti-aging effectiveness of serums containing a combination of nanogold, sodium hyaluronate, collagen and olive oil. Methods: Measurement of anti-aging effectiveness was carried out before and after the use of the serum for four weeks. Acute dermal irritation testing was conducted using albino rabbit test animals. Three patches of the test preparation were exposed in the preliminary test and one patch in the confirmation test. Results: The results showed that the anti-aging effectiveness test increased moisture by 27.34%, decreased oil content by 22.46%, reduced the number of blemishes by 32%, reduced pore size by 24.69%, decreased wrinkles by 42.24%, increased collagen by 11.85%, decreased the number of textures by 59.65% and sensitivity by 26.97%. In the dermal acute irritation test after calculating the irritation index, the result is 0, meaning that the preparation does not cause irritation to rabbit skin. Conclusion: Serum containing a combination of nanogold, sodium hyaluronate, collagen and olive oil has no irritating effect on the skin in preclinical studies and can provide anti-aging activity.
