    Abstract
Research has been conducted on the utilization of cesium-137 in the measurement of dose accuracy and as a standard source of calibration on the ranger Sn R314649 surveymeter radiation measuring instrument with the aim of knowing the stability and accuracy of the cesium-137 standard source reading and calibration of the ranger surveymeter radiation measuring instrument. Data collection was carried out by measuring the stability test of the detector irradiation for 300 seconds, measuring the output value of the cesium-137 standard source with irradiation for 60 seconds for 5 times irradiation, and calibration of the ranger surveymeter measuring instrument was carried out by irradiating the detector with a distance variation for 60 seconds, obtained the results of the farmer dosimeter stability test analysis with a deviation value of 0.25% indicating that the farmer dosimeter is stable. The output value of the cesium-137 standard source against distance variations (100, 125, 150, 175, and 200 cm) changes in the KPT value which tends to decrease from 1.004 to 1.001, decreasing with increasing distance. The measurement value of air kerma rate and personal dose equivalent obtained the highest value of air kerma rate of 28619.1676 Gy / hour and personal dose equivalent of 34629.19 Sv / hour at a distance of 100 cm while the lowest value of 6487.50 Gy / hour and 7849.88 Sv / hour at a distance of 200 cm. The calibration factor obtained from each distance variation is 1.00833 stating that the ranger surveymeter located at the Medan Health Facility Supervision Agency is still in good condition for use.
