Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan pada An.F dengan Gastroenteritis di Ruang Kenari 2 Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Penusunan Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Gastroenteritis is inflammation of the lining of the stomach and small intestine, which results in excessive loss of fluids and electrolytes. The cause is defecating one or more times accompanied by liquid and watery stools. The aim of this research is to provide nursing care to An. F with Gastroenteritis. The methodology used is nursing care starting from conducting assessments, analyzing data, preparing interventions, implementing interventions and carrying out nursing evaluations. From the results of the study, it was found that An. F experienced fever, diarrhea and vomiting for 3 days. After data analysis, the diagnoses obtained were hypovolemia related to diarrhea, hyperthermia related to the disease process and acute pain related to physiological injurious agents (intestinal hyperparistalsis). Implementation is carried out in accordance with the nursing care plan that has been made, namely monitoring vital signs, providing oral intake, recommending increasing oral intake or drinking lots of fluids, loosening clothes, applying compresses to the axillary area, administering medication, teaching breathing relaxation techniques and providing the aroma of levender. to reduce pain. After implementing it for 2 days, the results showed that vomiting was reduced, the frequency of defecation returned to normal and the child's body temperature returned to normal.
