Abstract

Background: Pharmacists are part of the health workforce that plays an important role in improving public health and national health development. The pharmaceutical industry is a business entity that has a permit from the Minister of Health to carry out the activities of making drugs or raw materials for drugs. The process of making drugs and/or drug materials can only be carried out by the Pharmaceutical Industry by meeting the established quality standards, namely by meeting the provisions of Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) in each process. CPOB is a guideline that aims to ensure that drugs are made consistently, meet the requirements set and in accordance with their intended use Objective: So that prospective pharmacists get sufficient insight, knowledge and practical experience about pharmaceutical work in industry through the application of CPOB. Method: Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) in the Pharmaceutical Industry of PT. Gracia Pharmindo is carried out including placement in the Quality Assurance department Results: Understanding the application of Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) at PT. Gracia Pharmindo and gaining insight, knowledge, skills and practical experience to carry out pharmaceutical work in industry. Conclusion: Pharmacists play a very important role in the pharmaceutical industry as drivers and directors in the implementation of CPOB, as well as those related to drug quality, especially in key positions, namely as head of production, head of quality control, and head of quality assurance. Pharmacists' responsibilities as professionals who participate in determining the quality of products produced through their expertise in the world of pharmacy.
