Abstract

This Professional Work Practice is carried out as one of the requirements in participating in the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program (PSPPA) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of North Sumatra to achieve a Pharmacist degree. This Pharmacist Professional Work Practice is carried out in an effort to provide supplies, skills, and expertise for prospective Pharmacists by directly observing the management and roles and duties of Pharmacists in Industry. This aims to ensure that prospective Pharmacists are able to understand Industrial problems and are able to practice professionally in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices. Pharmacists play a very important role in the pharmaceutical industry as drivers and directors in the implementation of CPOB. The role of Pharmacists in Industry is responsible for production, quality control and quality assurance. Activities carried out include placement in the Quality Assurance department and understanding other departments in the industry through induction of related departments. Activities are focused on creating a validation database in the validation section in the Quality Assurance (QA) section.
