Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that can cause damage to multiple organs if left untreated for an extended period. Proper self-care management for diabetes mellitus can delay or even prevent serious complications. Self-care management includes daily activities performed by individuals to control blood glucose levels, reduce the disease's impact, and prevent further complications. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-care management and blood glucose levels in diabetes mellitus patients at Helvetia Public Health Center. The study design was descriptive correlational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 64 respondents, selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman's Rank correlation test. The results showed that most respondents had moderate self-care management (56.3%) and high blood glucose levels (≥200 mg/dL) (67.2%). Statistical analysis revealed a p-value of 0.000 (p ≤ 0.05) and an r-value of -0.660. This study demonstrates a strong negative relationship between self-care management and blood glucose levels in diabetes mellitus patients. Health services are encouraged to enhance education on self-care management, particularly on the importance of blood glucose monitoring and adequate rest for DM patients, and to provide facilities for fasting blood glucose and HbA1c testing through posbindu programs.en_US
