Dukungan Sosial Keluarga pada Penyalahguna Narkoba dalam Menjalani Program Rehabilitasi di Sentra Insyaf

Abstract

Indonesia is facing a drug abuse emergency that continues to rise, particularly among the younger generation. Drug abuse has detrimental effects on physical, mental, and social well-being, necessitating rehabilitation that requires strong family social support. Data from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) indicates an increasing prevalence of drug abuse, with North Sumatra showing significant figures. Effective rehabilitation requires family social support, which plays a crucial role in motivating drug abusers. This study aims to explain the role of family social support for drug abusers undergoing rehabilitation programs at Sentra Insyaf Medan. The research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive analysis design. The study involved 98 drug abusers, selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a total sampling method. The results show that out of 98 respondents, 54 individuals (55.1%) had a high level of family social support, 32 individuals (32.7%) had a moderate level, and 12 individuals (12.2%) had a low level of family social support. The findings conclude that the level of family social support at Sentra Insyaf Medan is relatively high.
