Hemodialysis patients are a group vulnerable to psychological problems. Chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis often experience reactions such as anxiety, shock, denial, anger, depression, and despair. These issues lead to both physical fatigue, such as nausea , vomiting, and headaches, and psychological distress, affecting their coping mechanisms. Coping mechanisms play a vital role in managing stress and life challenges, while resilience is crucial for individuals to endure and overcome problems or illnesses. This study aimed to describe the coping mechanisms and resilience of hemodialysis patients at the Rasyida Kidney Specialty Hospital. The study employed a quantitative research method with a descriptive design. Sampling was conducted using non-probability sampling and accidental sampling techniques, involving 120 hemodialysis patients. Result showed that 116 patients (96.7%) exhibited adaptive coping mechanisms, 4 patients (3.3%) had maladaptive coping mechanisms, 115 patients (95.8%) demonstrated high resilience, and 5 patients (4.2%) showed moderate resilience. These findings indicate that henodialysis patients generally employ adaptive coping mechanisms and exhibit high resilience. It is recommended that nurses actively educate hemodialysis patients and provide nursing interventions to enhance their coping mechanisms and resilience.en_US
