The public's perspective on marital separation choices has become increasingly open, as evidenced by the divorce rate reaching 29% of marriages events in 2023, compared to only 4-6% in 2010. Another concerning phenomenon related to troubled marriages is the rising frequency of infidelity. Various factors can lead to separation, making it crucial for individuals who marry to maintain a strong commitment. This study aims to analyze the role of family functioning in marital commitment, with adult attachment styles acting as a moderator among early adults who are married, using quantitative regression moderation research methods. The research results from 208 respondents found that family functioning plays a significant role in marital commitment, contributing 47%. The moderated regression analysis revealed that only the dismissing attachment style in adult attachment styles moderates the role of family functioning in marital commitment. These findings may be influenced by factors such as the presence of children, religious values, social stigma, and a positive outlook on marital issues, which appear to play a more important role in affecting marital commitment than adult attachment styles.en_US
