Analisis Penerapan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja di PT. Bluescope Lysaght Indonesia Medan Factory

Abstract

Implementation of an Occupational Safety and Health Program is very important to create a safe and healthy work environment for workers and the surrounding environment as well as to comply with applicable laws and regulations. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the occupational health and safety (HSE) program at PT. Bluescope Lysaght Indonesia Medan Factory. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research results show that PT. Bluescope Lysaght Indonesia Medan Factory has implemented an Occupational health and safety program in accordance with regulations set by the government and international organizations. The company has made various efforts such as regular training for employees, regular monitoring and evaluation of work risks, as well as providing adequate personal protective equipment. However, there are still several obstacles such as limited time for evaluating and improving Occupational Health and Safety facilities. The conclusion of this research is that although PT. Bluescope Lysaght Indonesia Medan Factory has taken significant steps in implementing the Occupational health and safety program, further efforts are still needed to increase employee participation and add supporting facilities to improve the implementation of Occupational health and safety. The recommendations given include improving the K3 socialization program and ongoing training for employes.
