    Abstract
Oil palm (Elaeis guinensis Jacq) is a type of plantation crop that occupies an important position in the agricultural sector. Weed control using herbicides will cause changes in weed composition. Syngonium podophyllum is one of the weeds in oil palm plants. S. Podophyllum comes from South America, namely from Mexico, known from Costa Rica and Panama. S. podophyllum belongs to the Araceae family. Herbicides can temporarily or further stop weed growth when treated at the right size. In other words, the type and level of chemical toxins of an herbicide determines the meaning of the herbicide itself. This research will be carried out in the area of PT Perkebunan Sumatra Utara, Sei Kari, North Sumatra, which will be carried out from August to October 2024 This research uses a nonfactorial group random design (RAK) method with 10 treatments and 3 replicates. The treatment consisted of (T1) Control (without control), (T2) Control (slashing), (T3) Glyphosate + Metsulfuron methyl (MSM) (1080 + 15 g b.a ha), (T4) MSM + florpyrauxifen-benzyl (15 g b. a/ha + 15 g b. a/ha (T6) MSM + florpyrauxifenbenzyl (15 g b. a/ha + 28 g b. a/ha), (T7) MSM + florpyrauxifen-benzyl (22 g b. a/ha + 14 g b. a/ha (T8) MSM (22 g b. a/ha), (T9) florpyrauxifen-benzyl (21 g b. a/ha), (T10) florpyrauxifen-benzyl (15 g b. a/ha) The results showed that the percentage of damage S. The highest podophyllum is T6 treatment (MSM + florpyrauxifen-benzyl (15 g b. a /ha + 28 g b. a ha)), dry weight S. The lowest surviving podophyllum was T1 (Control (no control)), as well as the color of S stem tissue. The most normal podophyllum is the T1 treatment (Control (no control)).
