    Abstract
Kedih (Presbytis thomasi) is one of the primate species endemic to the island of Sumatra, whose life depends on primary and secondary forests. Currently, its survival is threatened by forest conversion for other development purposes and forest fires as well as illegal logging. The population in the wild is expected to continue to decline, so the IUCN categorizes the kedih species as vulnerable and Apendix II in CITES. Throughout its distribution area in Aceh and North Sumatra provinces, Kedih is estimated to number 2000 individuals. In Aceh Province, Kedih is spread in Ketambe, Simpang kiri. in Sikundur in the Aceh Besar GLNP area, North Sumatra, Kedih is found in Langkat, Wampu River. Kedih population is estimated to continue to decline. In 1986, the number of kedih found in the primary and secondary forests of Bahorok Bukit Lawang GLNP was 184 individuals. The movements carried out by kedih are movement activities carried out every day to obtain food sources, known as daily movements. The types of primates that can be observed in the Bukit Lawang Conservation Station area, Gunung Leuser National Park during the observation there are five primate species seen in the field, namely: Sumatran orangutan (Pongo abelli), Kedih (Presbytis thomasi), Long-tailed monkey (Macaca fascicularis), Beruk (Macaca nemestrina), Proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus). Measurements of plant characteristics, biomass, and productivity were conducted specifically on plant species that were found in the forest.
