Water is a liquid necessary for human life. One of the needs of today's society is to turn water into ice. Ice can be used to cool drinks, preserve meat, maintain the quality of food ingredients for a longer time, and so on. Since there are many benefits of ice in human needs, tools such as ice making machines (hereinafter referred to as cooling machines) have been created. Existing cooling machines generally use electric power, so they need an electric plug to perform their functions. In this opportunity, we see an opportunity to develop the use of renewable energy sources, namely solar energy, as an energy source for cooling machines. The purpose of this research is to design and build a cooling machine with a cooling load of 0.5 ℓ liter and a minimum water temperature of -1°C, using 2 TEC-127012 Peltier modules with 168.12 watts power. The power source used is solar energy. In this design, solar energy produces electrical energy of 1,799.814 Wh for 8 hours of use of the cooling machine.en_US
