dc.description.abstractThe fractal model antenna is an antenna that adapts the fractal shape with the aim of optimizing the structure and characteristics of the antenna, so that it can improve antenna performance and reduce its linear physical length. One simple form of fractal is the Koch curve. In this research, the quadrilateral microstrip patch antenna is discussed using the Koch curve at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. For antenna modeling and simulation, the AWR 2014 simulator is used. Based on the simulation results of the microstrip dipole antenna design without fractals at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, the dimensions of the antenna are 37×30 mm with a VSWR of 1.098 and a return loss of -20.8 dB, after using the Iteration-I Koch curve it is obtained Antenna dimensions are 37×30 mm with a VSWR of 1.156 and a return loss of -22.83 dB. And by using the Iteration-II Koch curve, the antenna dimensions are 26×25 mm with a VSWR of 1.041 and a return loss of -33.9 dB. Using the Koch curve successfully reduces the dimensions of the antenna by 40.9%en_US
