    Abstract
Indonesia is located at the confluence of four tectonic plates and vulnerable to seismic hazards. This may result in structural failures by improper planning, use an old seismic design code, or the absence of seismic hazard planning. Existing buildings with/without old codes, must go thru seismic evaluations based on ASCE 41-17 to determine the building performance, redundancy and rehabilitation when necessary. Teladan Stadium Tower as the case study is aims to determine the its structural performance as an ODCB during an earthquake in accordance with the applicable design code. The type of research conducted is a case study of an existing building located at Jalan Stadion, Teladan Barat, Medan. The seismic evaluation based on ASCE 41-17 which starts by determining the building’s general information. Building modelling is using MIDAS GEN 2024. The analysis was conducted with Tier 1 Screening and Tier 2 Deficiency-Based Evaluation. The Tier 1 analysis results show the soft story, mass, column axial stress, slenderness of diagonals, and compact members were non-compliant (NC). The column axial stress value exceeds 0.3Fy by 199.5079 MPa > 72 MPa due to overturning. The bracing diagonal slenderness ratio is 217.3913. The bracing thickness to width ratio exceeds the AISC 341 compact section limitation by 12.5 > 11.6905. Meanwhile, the Tier 2 analysis results show that the axial stress of column H does not meet the cross-section criteria of 1.26 > 1, but meets the requirements of the acceptance criteria. The cross-sectional capacity of the 4th to 7th floor bracing is less than the requirement, 243.8926 kN < 371.76 kN. The cross-sectional capacity of beam B1 is less than the requirement, 19.747 kNm < 22.2681 kNm. Story drift deficiency occurs on 1st to 3rd floor. Therefore, it has deficiency on Global Strength and Global Stiffness.
