    Abstract
Cyber Dating Abuse is a form of violence in romantic relationships that occurs through digital media. This phenomenon has been increasing along with the development of communication technology and the widespread use of social media, particularly among adolescents and young adults. Cyber Dating Abuse includes various behaviors such as excessive monitoring of a partner, verbal harassment through digital messages, threats, coercion to share personal information, and the distribution of content without consent. This study aims to understand the forms of Cyber Dating Abuse and its impacts on victims. A qualitative approach was employed, and participants were selected using the snowball sampling technique. The findings revealed several forms of Cyber Dating Abuse in romantic relationships, including overprotectiveness, emotional abuse (such as name-calling, anger, and yelling), and digital controlling, in which perpetrators monitor and excessively control their partner’s online activities, including unauthorized access to social media accounts. The study found that the most common form of Cyber Dating Abuse is digital control. This abuse leads to psychological impacts such as stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as decreased self-esteem and social isolation. These findings highlight the importance of digital education for individuals in romantic relationships and the need for stricter regulations to protect victims from technology-based violence. Preventive efforts such as improving digital literacy, fostering healthy communication in relationships, and providing social and psychological support are essential to reduce the negative effects of Cyber Dating Abuse.
