Abstract

Menstrual problems and reproductive organ care in adolescent girls in orphanages are important issues that are often overlooked. Adolescent girls in orphanages often face challenges with menstruation problems due to limited access to health education and resources. The initial survey of the study at the Anugrah Sungai Air Hidup Orphanage had a population of 70 adolescent girls, of which 4 adolescent girls had minimal reproductive health education on average and also considered that maintaining and caring for reproductive organs was not important. This study aims to analysis of menstrual problems and treatment of reproductive organs in adolescent girls at anugrah sungai air hidup orphanage Medan city used is qualitative with a case study technique approach. The results of the study showed that adolescent girls lack understanding of menstruation and reproductive organ care. The problems experienced by adolescent girls vary widely, including dysmenorrhea, irregular menstrual cycles, and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). The impact of menstrual problems and reproductive organ care affects not only the physical aspects, but also the emotional and social aspects. Efforts made by adolescent girls in orphanages to handle menstrual problems and reproductive organ care have not yet reached an optimal level of treatment, and reproductive organ care problems that occur in orphanages are symptoms of irritation and vaginal discharge. It is hoped that they will be able to express health problems both in terms of menstruation and reproductive organ care in order to get the help they need.
