    Abstract
QORI AZIZI : Growth and Production Response of Edamame Soybean (Glycine Max, L Merr.) to the Application of Biochar from Sugarcane Dregs and Vermicompost (Under the guidance of Yaya Hasanah). Edamame soybeans (Glycine max, L Merr) are soybeans originating from Japan. These soybeans are included in the category of vegetables (vegetable soybean), these soybeans also have differences with ordinary soybeans in larger size, sweeter taste and softer texture. The high global market demand for the availability of edamame, making this type of soybean has a potential opportunity to increase production both in quantity and quality, so that Indonesia is able to compete with other exporting countries This study aims to determine the growth and production of Edamame Soybean Plants (Glycine Max, L Merr.) on the Provision of Biochar from Sugarcane Dregs and the Provision of Vermicompost. This research was conducted at Jln.T.Amir Hamzah Km 29, North Binjai District, Binjai City with an altitude of ± 20 meters above sea level from August to November 2024. This study used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) using two factors. The first factor is Biochar 10 tons/ha, 20 tons/ha, 30 tons/ha. The second factor is Vermicompost 100 g/polibag, 200 g/polibag, 300 g/polybag. The Aplication of biochar 75 g/plant and the provision of vermicompost 300 g/plant is the best dose in increasing vegetative plants and the interaction of biochar and vermicompost with the aplication of biochar 75 g/plant and the increase of vermicompost 100-200 g/plant is the best interaction on plant growth.
