ANALYSIS OF INFLUENCING FACTORS RAILWAY INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT MEDAN-BINJAI ROUTE AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN MEDAN CITY

ABSTRACT

WERDAYANI PURBA (207003045) with the thesis title "Analysis of Factors Affecting the Development of Railway Infrastructure on the Medan-Binjai Route and Its Relation to the Development of Medan City Area". This research was supervised by Prof. Ir. Zulkifli Nasution M.Sc., Ph.D. as Chairman of the Supervisory Commission and Prof. Dr. Ir. Satia Negara Lubis M.ec. as a Member of the Supervisory Commission. In the development of transportation infrastructure, there are several factors that influence, including environmental factors, planning human resource factors, system factors used, science and technology factors, and funding factors. The purpose of this study is to analyze what factors are most influential in the development of elevated railway infrastructure using the factor analysis method. The results of the study show that the Planner Human Resources with the largest percentage of influence is 48.569% and the second factor is the Environment with an influence of 21.138%. The conclusion drawn related to the factors affecting the development of railway infrastructure on the Medan-Binjai route and its relation to the development of the area in Medan City is the Environmental factor and the Planner's Human Resources factor.
