    Abstract
The growing demand for meetings in science, technology, economy, and culture, driven by globalization and technological advancements, has made the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, and Exhibition) industry increasingly significant. In Indonesia, the MICE sector holds great potential as a leading tourism product, as outlined in Law No. 10 of 2009 on Tourism. Medan, as a metropolitan city with developing infrastructure and increasing national and international events, has emerged as a key player in this industry. Medan's tourism sector has witnessed substantial growth, earning recognition through awards like the Adipura and Medan Tourism Award 2012. The city is progressively gaining prominence as a MICE destination, alongside other major cities like Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Bandung. MICE activities integrate tourism-related sectors, including transportation, accommodation, entertainment, and cultural experiences, underscoring its role as a vital component of the tourism industry. The proposed Medan Convention Hall adopts a Green Building approach, emphasizing environmentally friendly design, construction, and maintenance to reduce ecological impact. This facility aims to serve as a new icon for Medan, hosting diverse national and international events while promoting sustainable tourism practices. Equipped with modern facilities, the Convention Hall is expected to bolster Medan's position as a premier MICE destination, enhance its tourism appeal, and contribute significantly to local economic development. In conclusion, the design and implementation of the Convention Hall represent a strategic initiative to foster economic growth and strengthen Medan’s role as a leading MICE city in Indonesia.
