Abstract

One of the health service facilities intended to organize health efforts is a pharmacy. A pharmacy is a pharmaceutical service facility where pharmacy practice is carried out by pharmacists who are pharmacy graduates who have graduated as pharmacists and have taken the pharmacist's oath of office. This Pharmacist Professional Work Practice Report was created so that in addition to practitioners gaining insight, it is also a vehicle and means to form skilled workers. In addition, this Pharmacist Professional Work Practice is a program for male and female pharmacists to develop their abilities and qualities in the world of work. This report is compiled as one of the requirements to obtain a Pharmacist degree at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of North Sumatra, which is written based on theory and observation results during the Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKP) at the Kimia Farma SM Raja Medan Pharmacy. PKPA is one of the requirements in participating in the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program (PSPA) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of North Sumatra to achieve a pharmacist degree.During the Field Work Practice, the intern was placed in the drug treatment service section at the pharmacy, the duties and responsibilities carried out were to offer drugs, provide treatment according to prescriptions, provide education and drug information services. After carrying out the Field Work Practice, the intern can draw the conclusion that the Field Work Practice is very useful for the intern because it can add experience and knowledge of the real world of work. So that it can be used as provisions to enter the real world of work in the future with the benefits of knowing and seeing directly the role and duties of the pharmacist in charge of the Pharmacy (APA), the organization and management that takes place in the pharmacy and increasing the knowledge and skills of prospective pharmacists in the practice of pharmaceutical services in the pharmacy.
