These natural dyes have been used for generations by the Papuan people before the existence of synthetic dyes to decorate their traditional crafts. Utilizing Papuan wood as a natural dye not only supports the local economy but also promotes sustainable practices, as the resources can be obtained locally. In this study, the types of Papuan wood used are matoa (Pometia pinnata), merbau (Intsia bijuga), pulai (Alstonia scholaris), Chinese wood (Podocarpus amarus) and moref (Palaquium amboinense) using two extraction methods, namely hotplate and vacuum extraction machine which aims to analyze the benefits of the five types of Papuan wood as natural dyes on fabric media. Based on the research results of the fastness test, the smallest color difference value is matoa hotplate for dyeing and moref vacuum extraction for ecoprint. In the Staphylococcus aureus antibacterial test, the highest antibacterial value on the dyed fabric before washing was 48.15% while after washing it was 18.52% on the fabric for the merbau type, on the ecoprint fabric it had no antibacterial value. For Propionibacterium acnes bacteria, the dyed fabric with hotplate method has a value of 11.11% while the ecoprint fabric has no antibacterial value. For antibacterial tests on yields with hotplate and vacuum extraction methods using Staphylococcus aureus bacteria had the highest antibacterial value of 94.44% and testing using Propionibacterium acnes bacteria had the highest antibacterial value of 100.00%. Antioxidant testing on fabrics, the highest value was 94.83% before washing, 86.77% after washing. For phenolic value, the highest value was 62.87%.en_US
