Analysis Of The Quality And Characteristics Of Detergent Bottle Plastic Waste (HDPE) As a Filament Source For 3D Printers Using The Pultrusion Method
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the quality and characteristics of filament produced from detergent bottle plastic waste made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) using the pultrusion method. HDPE plastic waste was chosen due to its strong mechanical properties and high-temperature resistance, making it a potential candidate as a filament raw material for 3D printers. This research utilized various temperature and pulling speed variations in the pultrusion process to determine the optimal parameters for producing high-quality filament. The results showed that a temperature of 120°C with a pulling speed of 4 mm/s produced filament with the highest tensile strength, reaching 96.781 MPa. Thus, this method can serve as an innovative solution for recycling HDPE plastic waste and reducing environmental impact.
