Analisis Indeks Lingkungan di Subdas Sei Bingai Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Environmental Index Analysis in Sei Bingai Sub-Watershed of North Sumatra Province
Abstract
The environment encompasses a range of human activities, including economic pursuits, residential construction, and agricultural practices. Different activities are carried out by humans; if there is no regulation and supervision, there can be a decrease in environmental quality. The purpose of this study is to provide information on land capability, environmental index, environmental class, and its determining factors in Sei Bingai Sub-district. This research used a purposive sampling method for field observation and data collection. Data processing was done using the spatial analysis method by overlaying and PCA statistical tests. The results showed that the land capability was in class I. The environmental index in 2023 is a value range of 7.64 to 18.52 and in 2033 has a value range of 6.38 to 18.45. The environmental class in Sei Bingai Sub-basin is in Class II. Factors that determine the environmental index value include land cover, land surface temperature, vegetation density, rainfall, slope, and erosion hazard.
