Abstract

Background According to PMK RI No. 72 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Hospitals, Pharmaceutical Service Standards are a benchmark used as a guideline for pharmaceutical personnel in organizing pharmaceutical services. Pharmaceutical services are direct and responsible services to patients related to pharmaceutical preparations with the aim of achieving definite results to improve the quality of life of patients. Health is a human right and is one of the elements of welfare to improve the quality of life that must be realized in accordance with the ideals of the Indonesian nation. To realize health in accordance with the foundations of the Republic of Indonesia, health resources are needed to support this. These resources are related to the facilities, infrastructure, and infrastructure utilized to organize health efforts carried out by the government and the community. One of the services in the Hospital is pharmaceutical services, which is a direct and responsible service to patients related to pharmaceutical preparations with the aim of achieving definite results to improve the quality of life of patients. The standards of pharmaceutical services in the Hospital include the management of pharmaceutical preparations, medical devices, and disposable medical materials as well as clinical pharmacy services. The implementation of pharmaceutical services in hospitals must be carried out based on PMK RI No. 72 of 2016 concerning Pharmaceutical Service Standards in Hospitals. This guideline is used to improve the quality of pharmaceutical services, ensure legal certainty for pharmaceutical personnel and protect patients and the community from irrational drugs in the context of patient safety
