Maintenance of machines in the industrial/manufacturing world is an important aspect that cannot be ignored. Because every machine definitely needs proper maintenance for the production process to continue continuously. TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) is one of the maintenance process methods developed to increase productivity in the work area, by making the process more reliable and less wasteful. One of the work measurement methods used to measure the success of TPM is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) which consists of availability, performance and quality. Factories often experience machine damage during the production process, which causes excessive downtime and poorer machine performance. Machine damage is usually caused by poor and improper machine maintenance. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the sugarcane evaporator machine using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. The OEE method ensures that the machine continues to operate optimally by making improvements to some of the losses that occur in the machine. The results of the OEE calculation on the Evaporator machine at PT. X during the period January to June 2020 produced an average OEE of around 79.57%. In the context of JIPM standards for OEE values, the performance of this Evaporator machine can be categorized as "moderate". This category indicates that the machine is in adequate condition for routine production, but there is still potential for improvement and enhancement needed to achieve world class, which usually has an OEE of more than or equal to 85%. As for some aspects contained in this OEE calculation, it was found that the Availability ratio value was 96.12%, the Performance ratio value was 82.94%, the Quality ratio was 99.81%.en_US
