Medan Music Museum with Metaphor Architecture Approach
Abstract
The development of the music scene in Indonesia is growing rapidly as
many new music genres and new musicians emerge. The approach to
designing a music Museum in Medan City uses metaphorical architecture to
create a space that not only displays music, but also evokes the emotions and
experiences associated with it. The design process will incorporate elements
from music itself, such as rhythm, harmony, and melody, to inform the spatial
layout and aesthetics of the museum. Through the synthesis of form, material,
and spatial arrangement, the design uses symbolism, innovative abstraction
to evoke the emotional and sensory dimensions inherent to the musical
experience. Through the synthesis of form, material, and spatial arrangement,
Museum Nada aspires to be a multisensory journey, inviting visitors to interact
and interpret the architecture as a living expression of the diverse and colorful
musical culture in Medan city.
