Penerapan Sistem Tanggap Darurat Kebakaran di PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Perawang Mill Tahun 2023

Abstract

Law Number 1 of 1970 concerning Occupational Safety states that workers and people in the workplace must be guaranteed their safety, so it is necessary to provide firefighting training. The fire emergency response system consists of firefighting management, active fire protection facilities and passive fire protection facilities. PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Perawang Mill has obtained the golden flag of Occupational Safety and Health Management System in 2020. The purpose of the study is to determine the implementation of the fire emergency response system in PPM #3 - PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Perawang Mill in 2023. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The data used in the study are primary data (field observation results) and secondary data (company documents). The results of the research were obtained by an emergency response organization called the fire brigade team, emergency response procedures in SOP-B82 and DOP-270-30 owned by the company, trained human resources to carry out firefighting, no fire detector, there are fire alarm, there are fire extinguishers, no sprinklers, there are hydrants, there are evacuation routes, there are directions for exits, there are emergency exits and there are assembly point and fire brigade access. The company is expected to complete emergency response procedures with an explanation of the evacuation process flow, equip the emergency door with a sign "this door remains open when the building is occupied" and not lock the emergency door in PPM #3.
