    Abstract
Tuberculosis is a chronic (chronic) disease that has long been known by the wider community and is feared because it is contagious. In 2023, the cure rate for tuberculosis at the Sikara Kara Community Health Center has been reached at 32%. This shows that the cure rate for pulmonary TB has not reached the set target of 85%. This research was conducted to find out clearly and in depth about the implementation of the pulmonary TB control program using the DOTS strategy at Sikara Kara Public Health Center. This research is a qualitative study using in-depth interview methods with 6 informants who are the Deputy TB supervisor of the Madandailing Natal Health Service, the Head of the Sikara Kara Health Center, the Person in Charge of Pulmonary TB at the Sikara Kara Health Center, the Pulmonary TB Cadre at the Sikara Kara Health Center, the Laboratory Officer, 1 Recovered Pulmonary TB Sufferer 6 months. The research results show that the implementation of the pulmonary TB control program at the Community Health Center has not run optimally. This can be seen from the case findings, most of whom are waiting for sufferers to go to the health center for examination, TB officers have not received any training for a long time, sufferers come to the health center carrying phlegm mixed with saliva (saliva) so it is difficult to detect. It is hoped that the Mandailing Natal City Health Service will train TB officers who have not received training for a long time. Puskesmas should increase the scope of active case finding, provide education on correct sputum collection to TB sufferers, and increase the role of PMOs in pulmonary TB control programs.
